Mission:
The Patient and Family Relations Council's mission is to inform, educate, and support patients and families throughout critical illness. Our primary activities include promoting continuity of care nursing, coordinating the 9/13 ICU Volunteer Program, supporting 24/7 Family visitations, and a family education bulletin board outside of the 9 ICU unit. Also, the Bereavement Workgroup provides families of patients who have passed an informational packet and handwritten cards. The Patient/Family Advisory Council organizes a meeting of past patients and family members of patients to discuss ways to improve patient and visitor experiences.
