The "Who I Am" Boards have arrived! One of these boards is now in each patient room in both 9 and 13 ICU. These boards are a great way to build connections with our patients and families by making personal information more visible for all staff. There are prompts on the left hand side of the board and open space on the right for pictures or other notes (see example below).
Please keep the following in mind for use of these boards:
- Dry Erase Markers Only! Each board will have a dry erase marker mounted to it for easy access. (Elaine is waiting for a few more supplies to arrive for all of them to have this, but they should all have it done by the end of the week).
- This is a great way to engage patients and family members. Our Volunteers can also help fill these out.
- Cleaning: Writing from the dry erase markers can be removed with a dry cloth. If there are concerns about the board being soiled in any way OR if the room is being cleaned between patients, the green top Clorox Hydrogen Peroxide wipes should also be used.
- These boards should stay in the patient room in 9/13 ICU where they currently are. They do not travel with patients when they leave the ICU. If a patient moves to a new room within 9 or 13 ICU and their board is already filled out, the boards may be switched.
A Huge Thank You to Elaine for Making These!
